Producing Work

During my 6+ years at Business Insider (formerly INSIDER Inc.), I developed, show-ran, produced, and hosted several highly successful series across a vast selection of verticals and platforms. I most recently produced long-form episodes of So Expensive, which is one of Business Insider's highest-viewed shows. Along with So Expensive, I transformed Rise and Fall  from one-off videos into a flagship series, averaging 5 million views per episode. At Style Insider, I produced a number of the company's highest-viewed videos each quarter on both our primary publishing platform, Snapchat, and our secondary platform of YouTube.

Business Insider – So Expensive

As the original show-runner of the series in the U.S., I established the writing style and visual direction that shaped the show into the comprehensive deep-dive of the world's most expensive items that it is today. I pitched episodes, wrote scripts, hired a team of international freelancers, traveled to oversee shoots myself, and reviewed cuts with my editor until each episode delivered the perfect medley of stunning visuals, thrilling information, and someone, or something, to root for. I loved getting to showcase talented artisans around the world and documenting cultural foods and traditional art forms.

Style Insider

Style Insider videos were primarily produced for Snapchat but published across platforms, including Youtube, which presented a unique challenge in terms of  shooting multiple dimensions without compromising visuals and reaching very different audiences. My solution was to produce a range of short and long-form content rooted in eye-catching visuals, interesting questions, and taking viewers behind the scenes. From highlighting unique craftsmanship, like how Judith Leiber's iconic bedazzled bags are made by hand, to diving into exclusive spaces like a Birkin dealer's storeroom, I combined the recognizable with the unknown, resulting in millions of views across platforms.
